Cab - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the seat.

  2. Remove the wiper motor (front).

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

  1. Drain the air tanks. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Air Tank Moisture and Sediment - Drain".

  2. Remove screws (1) and slide plate assembly (2) upward.

  3. Remove screws (4), bolts (6), and plate (3).

  4. Remove bolts (5).

  5. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 for the opposite side.

  6. Remove screws (8) and cover (7).

  7. Remove cover (11), screws (10), and cover (9).

  8. Remove strap (13) and disconnect harness assemblies (12).

  9. Remove the screws and knobs (14).

  10. Remove screws (15) and cover (16).

  11. Disconnect harness assemblies (18). Remove screws (19) and reposition cover assembly (17).

  12. Remove screws (20) and cover (21).

  13. Disconnect hose assemblies (22) and remove grommets (23).

  14. Remove cable straps (24) and disconnect harness assemblies (25).

  15. Remove cable straps (26) and disconnect harness assemblies (27).

  16. Remove screws (28) and tilt duct assembly (29).

  17. Remove cable straps (30) and disconnect harness assemblies (31).

  18. Disconnect harness assemblies (32).

  19. Remove bolts (33) and step (34).

  20. Remove bolts (35) and cover (36).

  21. Repeat Step 19 and 20 for the other side.

  22. Remove bolt (41) and disconnect harness assembly (40).

  23. Remove cable strap (38), bolts (37), and ground strap (39).

  24. Remove plug (44), bolt (43), and pin assembly (43). Repeat for the other side.

  25. Attach suitable lifting device to cab (45). The weight of cab (45) is approximately 660 kg (1455 lb).

  26. Remove bolts (46), the washers, and the mounting.

  27. Remove bolts (47), the washers, the mounting, and the shim.

  28. Repeat Step 26 and Step 27 for the other side.

  29. Remove cab (45).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install cab (45) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Lower the canopy structure to a until it is suspended approximately 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) above the operator platform surface. Aline platform mounting holes and canopy mounting holes by installing the mountings, the washers , and bolts (47). tighten bolts using hand. Lower canopy onto platform and tighten bolts (47) to a torque of 430 ± 60 N.m (317 ± 44 lb ft).

    2. Lower the canopy structure to a until it is suspended approximately 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) above the operator platform surface. Aline platform mounting holes and canopy mounting holes by installing the mountings, the washers , and bolts (46). tighten bolts using hand. Lower canopy onto platform and tighten bolts (46) to a torque of 240 ± 40 N.m (177 ± 30 lb ft).

    3. Tighten screws (28) to a torque of 6 ± 1 N.m (53 ± 9 lb in).
