New Spring And Shaft Used In Governor Control Lever Have Increased Corrosion Resistance

Usage:

All Caterpillar Industrial Engines

Description of Change: A new spring and shaft with increased resistance to corrosion is used inside the governor control lever on all Caterpillar industrial engines. Moisture can get into the outer sleeve of the lever. This can cause corrosion of the former spring and shaft and make it difficult to operate the governor control.

Adaptable To: The new 4W2541 Shaft and 4W2542 Spring are direct replacements for the former 8L4279 Shaft and 7M1269 Spring.

Location of new 4W2541 Shaft and 4W2542 Spring.
