Lifting eyes are designed and installed for each product. Alterations to the lifting eyes and/or the product make the lifting eyes and the lifting fixtures obsolete. If alterations are made, ensure that proper lifting devices are provided. Consult your Cat dealer for information regarding fixtures for proper lifting.
Lifting the Horizontal SCR Reactor
Improper lift rigging can allow unit to tumble causing injury and damage. |
Note: Rough handling, shock loads, and improper lifting procedures can damage internal components, mounting systems, and substrates.
To lift the SCR reactor, use the lifting eyes that are located on each corner of the frame. Chains of equal length and/or a spreader bar should be used. Damage to the SCR reactor may occur if not properly lifted. Refer to table 1 and table 2 for information on the weight of the reactor and components.
