Problem
The 243-2501 Fan Guard in the 437-0094 Radiator Gp may develop cracks immediately after put into service or even while being transported to the dealer or customer site.
The radial (spoke) wires of the fan guard are breaking at the welds where the second or third circumferential wires are welded.
Solution
Service the guard with the same 243-2501 Fan Guard from the Caterpillar service parts system.
