Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over any disconnected fuel system components. |
- Turn the fuel supply to the off position.
- Turn the battery system to the off position.

- Disconnect hose assembly (5).

- Remove the O-ring seal from fuel priming pump (11).
- Install fuel priming pump (11) in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply Tooling (A) to bolts (12).
- Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of
6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in) .
