Aftertreatment Intake NOx Sensor Failing at Early Hours on Certain C13 Engines used in Claas Combines{191N}

Usage:

C13 N3F
Engine:
C13 (S/N: N3F1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution detailed below to correct the issue.

Problem

The aftertreatment intake NOx sensor prior to the exhaust bellows is failing with excessive vibration at early hours creating a 3216-12 fault code on the Claas Combine.

Solution

If the NOx sensor is located before the exhaust bellows on the engine outlet at time of failure. Contact Derek Blunier "1-309-494-0715" to get information and parts to rework to post-bellows location and prevent additional failures.
