Engine Oil Filter Housing - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove engine oil filter housing.


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove bolts (1), cover (2), and the O-ring seal. If necessary, remove the dowel from the cover.

  2. Remove engine oil filter elements (3).

  3. Remove bolts (4), adapter (5), filter housing (6), and the O-ring seal.

  4. Remove bolts (8), housing support (7), and the O-ring seal.

    Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.

    To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.


  5. Remove bolts (12), cover (11), spring (10), bypass valve (9), and the O-ring seals.

  6. Remove bolts (12), cover (13), and the O-ring seal.
