Introduction

This Special Instruction provides flywheel assembly measurements in order to select the correct mounting bolts for the above engines.

Flywheel Assembly Measurements and Bolts

The 10R-2356 Flywheel As is machined to different thicknesses in order to be installed in various engines. Some of the engines will require shorter mounting bolts than other engines. If the mounting bolts for the 10R-2356 Flywheel As are too long the bolts will bottom out and the bolts will not hold the 10R-2356 Flywheel As securely.

Use the 5B-0841 Bolts when the thickness of the 10R-2356 Flywheel As measures 16.4 mm (0.64 inch). If the 10R-2356 Flywheel As is machined from the part numbers in Table 1 then the thickness is 16.4 mm (0.64 inches).

Note: Measure the thickness of the 10R-2356 Flywheel As at the circle for the bolt.

Use the 0S-1576 Bolts when the thickness of the 10R-2356 Flywheel As measures 22.81 mm (0.90 inch).

Note: Measure the thickness of the 10R-2356 Flywheel As at the circle for the bolt.
