  1. Use two suitable cranes to lift the platform at the four lifting points indicated in Illustrations 2, 3, 4, and 5. Use a suitable strap to secure the front platform extension during the lift. The platform weighs approximately 14515 kg (32000 lb).

  2. Slowly position the platform so that the saddle mounts are centered on the tube. Ensure that the front face mounting holes line up with the vertical support beams. Refer to Illustration 7.

  3. Use a suitable lifting device to position the two 431-7965 Links in the mounting point.

  4. Install one bolt (1), one pin (2), one pin retainer (3), and one nut (4) on the lower mounting point of each link.

  5. Install four cap assemblies (5) onto the saddle mounts, and install 24 bolts (6) and 24 hard washers (7).

    Note: Cap assemblies (5) will deform when the bolts (6) are tightened. If the platform is ever removed, cap assemblies (5) may not be reused.

  6. Secure the platform to the two vertical beams using four bolts (8), six hard washers (9), and two nuts (10) on each beam.

  7. Install two 475-8932 Braces (A) between the radiator and the platform using retained hardware from Disassembly and Assembly, UENR1145, "Lifting Gp - Install".

  8. Adjust the overall length of braces (A) to keep the radiator vertical.
