Crankshaft Rear Gear - Remove and Install

Start By:
- Remove the crankshaft rear seal.

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Install Tooling (A) in the rear of the crankshaft.
- Attach a suitable lifting device to crankshaft rear gear (1). The weight of crankshaft rear gear (1) is approximately
65 kg (143 lb) . Slide crankshaft rear gear (1) onto Tooling (A). Remove crankshaft rear gear (1). - Remove the O-ring seals from each side of crankshaft rear gear (1).

- Install crankshaft rear gear (1) in the reverse order of removal.
- Align the four unevenly spaced holes in crankshaft rear gear (1) with the four threaded holes in the crankshaft.
- Install crankshaft rear gear (1) on Tooling (A) with the gear teeth away from the crankshaft.
