The 9U-7242 Compressor Plate (part of the 9U-7241 Compressor Group) may have two counterbores not machined to the correct depth. This may cause the compressor plate to tilt or bind when the 2J-3506 Nut is tightened on the compressor base assembly.
Measure the thickness of the four corners (material remaining after the counterbore) of the 9U-7242 Compressor Plate. The two corners marked (X) should be 6.0 ± 0.5 mm (.24 ± .02 in) thick. The two corners marked (Y) should be 4.0 ± 0.5 mm (.16 ± .02 in) thick. If the two corners marked (Y) measure 8.0 ± 0.5 mm (.31 ± .02 in) thick, they can be machined to measure 4.0 ± 0.5 mm (.16 ± .02 in) thick, or the 9U-7241 Compressor Group may be returned for warranty.
