False Logging Of Diagnostic Codes 100-01 (FC46) "Low Oil Pressure" And 100-11 (FC46) "Very Low Oil Pressure"{1902}

False logging of diagnostic codes 100-01 (FC46) "Low Oil Pressure" and 100-11 (FC46) "Very Low Oil Pressure" may occur on the above truck engines because the oil pressure map limits are to sensitive.

The oil pressure map limits have been corrected in the December 1993 and newer personality module releases. If diagnostic codes 100-01 (FC46) "Low Oil Pressure" and 100-11 (FC46) "Very Low Oil Pressure" are being logged, verify the "Personality Module Release Date" using an Electronic Service Tool. If the "Personality Module Release Date" is JAN93 or AUG93, install the latest personality module or apply the FLASH (recommended) part number listed in the following table.

NOTE: DO NOT replace the oil pressure sensor for logging of diagnostic codes 100-01 (FC46) "Low Oil Pressure" and 100-11 (FC46) "Very Low Oil Pressure".
