Engine News SEBD9805, 28 August 2012, "A New Power Distribution Box is Now Used on C175-16 Generator Set Engines". The original article was revised to change the title and to provide some more details on the benefits of the new box.

Description of Change: The new power distribution box distributes both low current and high current. The new box provides the following benefits:

• Improved protection from moisture and other environmental factors

• One circuit breaker panel for both the high current and low current

• Connectors for the circuit breakers rather than individual wires

• The circuit breakers use connectors that are more robust than the previously used ring terminals on small studs

• The wiring in the panel is more secure

• The ground wire from the disconnect switch to the starting motor is more secure

• The previously used low current distribution box has been consolidated into the new power distribution box.

The 307-8693 Circuit Breaker Panel Gp and the 278-7340 Circuit Breaker Mounting Gp are replaced by the new power distribution box.

The new 417-2751 Disconnect Switch Gp replaces the previously used 263-6574 Disconnect Switch Gp .

The new power distribution box is compatible with C175-16 Generator Set Engines back to first production.

The effective serial number is WYB001094

Refer to Table 1 for the parts that are needed to upgrade the earlier power distribution box.
