Fuel Manifold (ARD) - Disassemble

Usage:

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the fuel manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Control Manifold (ARD) - Remove".


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.



NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove tube assembly (1) .

  1. Remove nut (2), washer (2), coil assembly (4), and valve assembly (5). Remove O-ring seals (6) from valve assembly (5) .

  1. Remove nut (7), washer (8), coil assembly (9), and valve assembly (10). Remove O-ring seals (11) from valve assembly (10). Repeat for the remaining solenoid valve.

  1. Remove check valve (12). Remove O-ring seals (13) from check valve (12) .

  1. Remove check valve (14). Remove O-ring seals (15) from check valve (14) .
