The problem that is identified below does not have known permanent solution. Until the permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Setting either of the following monitoring system parameters to the "On" state makes the ECM unable to communicate. The ECM locks up and must be replaced.

• "High Fuel Rail Pump Flow" "Least Severe (1)"

• "High Fuel Rail Pump Flow" "Most Severe (3)"

Solution

Do not enable the "Least Severe (1)" or the "Most Severe (3)" parameters for the "High Fuel Rail Pump Flow".

Note: The only functional setting for "High Fuel Rail Pump Flow" is "Moderate Severity (2)". The default setting for "Moderate Severity (2)" is "Always On".
