Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Use Tooling (A) to install bearings (14) in body (4) until the bearings are
0.30 ± 0.25 mm (0.012 ± 0.010 inch) from the inside edge of the bearing bores. Install bearings (14) so the junctions in the bearings are 30 ± 15 degrees from the center line of the bearing bores, and toward the outlet passage. The outlet passage has a cavity between the bearing bores. - Install plunger (9), plunger ring (10), and spring (11).
- Install retainer (12) and bolts (13).
- Install shaft assemblies (15) into body (4).
- Use Tooling (A) to install bearings (16) in cover (17) until the bearings are even with the outside surface of cover. Install bearings (16) so the junctions in the bearings are 30 ± 15 degrees from the center line of the bearing bores and toward the outlet passage in the oil pump.
- Install cover (17) on body (4). Install bolts (18).
