Camshaft Position Sensor - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (2).

  2. Remove bolt (3) and camshaft position sensor (1).

  3. Remove the O-ring seal from camshaft position sensor (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install camshaft position sensor (1) in reverse order of removal.

  2. Install a new O-ring seal on camshaft position sensor (1). Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

    1. Tighten bolt (3) to a torque of 28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft).
