An Improved Locknut Is Now Used to Tighten the Exhaust Manifolds onto the Cylinder Heads of Certain C15 Engines and C-15 Engines {1059, 7553}

Usage:

C-15 9NZ
Engine:
C-15 (S/N: 9NZ1-UP)
C15 (S/N: SDP1-UP; MXS1-UP; NXS1-UP)

Description of Change: An improved locknut is now used in order to tighten the exhaust manifold on the engines that are listed above. The improved locknut maintains a more consistent torque on the exhaust manifold and on the cylinder head joint.

Adaptable To:

Illustration 1g02230295

When replacing the exhaust manifold gaskets use the improved 2N-2766 Locknut (1). The torque for the 2N-2766 Locknut is 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

The improved locknut is adaptable back to the first production of the above listed engines.
