Cleaning Instructions For Intake Air Filters In Silencer Group {1051,1087}

Examine the 4W9235 Air Filter Assembly (part of 7W0245 Silencer Group) periodically for excessive contamination. If the filter needs to be cleaned, remove and wash it as shown in the illustrations. Use either kerosene or soda solution (maximum concentrate of 1%) for the cleaning agent. Do NOT burn the filter to clean it.
NOTE: Wipe off the four inner elements (discs) with a clean cloth before assembly. Do NOT wash these elements.
