New Engine Cylinder Block Used{1201}

3208 Industrial (90N37285-Up),
Marine (75V4002-Up),
Vehicular (79V5380-Up),
and Truck (32Y1-Up) Engines

Description of Change: A new cylinder block is used on the above engines starting with the serial numbers shown. The main bearing cap joint (junction) angle has been changed from 150° to 160°. This change makes the main bearing joint more rigid and puts less side stress on the block than before.

Adaptable To: A new 9N3763 Cylinder Block-Service Group is available and is a direct replacement for the former 9N1255 Cylinder Block-Service Group which has been canceled. In addition, a new 9N5190 Cylinder Block-Short is available and is a direct replacement for the former 9N2139 Cylinder Block-Short which has been canceled. Also, a new 9N3759 Service Bearing Cap is available for parts service of the new cylinder block. The 9L8992 Bearing Cap is still available for parts service of the former cylinder block.
