342-2512 Communication Software Gp has been released as a direct replacement for the existing 315-0627 Communication Software Gp. The 342-2512 Communication Software Gp provides the same functionality as the 315-0627 Communication Software Gp with several new features and enhancements.
New Features
- An Embedded Communications Adapter is used for J1939 Flashing and Servicing.
- The PL1000E Webpage now includes a "RS-485 4/2 Wire configuration" selection.
- J1939 Diagnostics to Webserver is now available.
- The default configuration has changed to the values that are shown in Table 1.

Enhancements
- The "Rolling Reset Security Condition" has been removed. This removes the ".pcl" file from use when five power cycles occur within a time period of 60 seconds or less.
- The resetting of the PL1000E to "Defaults Security Condition" which occurred during power cycling has been removed.
- The "Custom Webpage Lockup" which occurred over time has been corrected.
- The "Active Events Sustained After Power Cycle" functionality has been corrected.
- The "DHCP Gateway Address" which would increase by a value of 1 in the fourth octet has been corrected.
- The PL1000E will only accept configurations of the baud rate that are valid.
- The ".PCL File Extension" is no longer case sensitive.
