Control System - Remove and Install - M.C.S Panel

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


  1. The engine can have the ability to auto start. Ensure that the power supply is isolated before any service or repairs is performed.

  2. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  3. Disconnect wiring harness (1), wiring harness (3) and wiring harness (4) from the panel (5).

  4. Disconnect wiring harness (2) from the panel (5).

  5. Remove bolts and remove the cover from bracket (15) that covers the wiring harness assemblies.

  6. Disconnect cable assemblies (6) from the switch.

  7. Disconnect harness assembly (7) and harness assembly (8) from the solenoids.

  8. Disconnect harness assembly (9) and harness assembly (10).

  9. Loosen allen head bolt (12) and disconnect harness assembly (11) from the electronic control module.

  10. Loosen allen head bolt (13) and disconnect harness assembly (14) from the electronic control module.

  11. Remove nuts and bolts (15) and remove bracket assembly (16).

  12. Remove the nuts and bolts (18) from base frame (19).

  13. Remove panel (18) from base frame (19).

    Note: The panel should be supported as the bolts are removed.

  1. Position panel (17) onto base frame (19).

  2. Install the nuts and bolts (18) to base frame (19). Tighten the nuts and bolts to a torque of 44 N·m (33 lb ft).

    Note: The panel should be supported as the bolts are Installed.

  3. Position bracket assembly (16) onto the base frame. Install nuts and bolts (15) and tighten nuts and bolts to a torque of 44 N·m (33 lb ft).

  4. Connect harness assembly (11) to the electronic control module. Use Tooling (A) to tighten allen head bolt (12) to a torque of 5 N·m (44 lb in).

    Note: Care must be taken in order to avoid damage to the connector pins during installation of the harness.

  5. Connect harness assembly (14) to the electronic control module. Use Tooling (A) to tighten allen head bolt (13) to a torque of 5 N·m (44 lb in).

    Note: Care must be taken in order to avoid damage to the connector pins during installation of the harness.

  6. Connect cable assemblies (6) to the switch.

  7. Connect harness assembly (7) and harness assembly (8) to the solenoids.

  8. Connect harness assembly (9) and harness assembly (10).

  9. Install the cover to bracket (15) that covers the wiring harness assembly. Install bolts and tighten bolts securely.

  10. Connect wiring harness (1), wiring harness (3) and wiring harness (4) to panel (5).

  11. Connect wiring harness (2) to panel (5).

  12. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
