Tightening sequence for the base of the valve cover | |
(1) The face of two clips must be parallel to the center line of the crankshaft.
(2) The face of the clip must be oriented to 110 degrees from the centerline of the crankshaft.
Tighten the bolts in a numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 1 to the standard torque.

Tighten the bolts in a numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 2 to 20 ± 3 N·m (15 ± 2 lb ft).
