(12) Fuel rail |
- Tighten clamp assemblies (7) for the fuel rail to standard torque. Tighten the fuel line clamps (8) for the fuel line to standard torque.
Note: Before torquing, check the clearances at the fuel line and the connections of the fuel rail. If necessary, repeat Step 1 through 6.
- Tighten seven fuel line nuts (9) at the fuel rail to 27 ± 3 N·m (20 ± 2 lb ft).
- Tighten three bolts (1) for the fuel rail to 27 ± 3 N·m (20 ± 2 lb ft).
- Tighten six fuel line nuts (2) to quill tubes (5) to a torque of 15 ± 3 N·m (11 ± 2 lb ft). Then, turn the nut in the clockwise direction to 60 ± 5 degrees.
- Tighten nut (2) at the fuel pump to 15 ± 3 N·m (11 ± 2 lb ft). Then, turn the nut in the clockwise direction to 60 ± 5 degrees.
- Lubricate the sealing face and the threads of the relief valve assembly by using 6V-4876 Lubricant .
