Description of Change: New linings are available for use in the flywheel clutch brake shoe assemblies on the above tractors. The new linings are made from a different material than the former linings. The material used in the new linings will reduce wear of the brake drum and extend the service life of the drums.

Location of brake shoe assembly in typical flywheel clutch group.

Adaptable As: The new 6Y2197 Lining is a direct replacement for the former 9W473 Lining used in the 9W472 Brake Shoe Assembly in the flywheel clutch groups used in D4, D4B, D4C, D4D, D4E, D5, D5B, D6, D6B, D6C, D6D, D7, D7E, D7F, and D7G Direct Drive And Special Application Tractors. The new 6Y2196 Lining is a direct replacement for the former 9W3235 Lining used in the 9F8992 Brake Shoe Assembly in the flywheel group used in D8, D8E, D8F, D8H, D8K Direct Drive And Special Application Tractors.
