Piston Pump (Steering) - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the bottom guards.

  2. Remove the piston pump (hydraulic fan).

  3. Remove the cab.

Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.

Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.

  1. Loosen clamp (2) and clamps (3).

  2. Remove hose assembly (1).

  3. Remove the bolts and disconnect hose assembly (4).

  4. Remove the bolts and disconnect hose assembly (5).

  5. Position hose assembly (6) out of the way.

  6. Remove the bolts and disconnect hose assembly (7).

  7. Remove the bolts and disconnect hose assembly (8).

  8. Disconnect hose assembly (9).

  9. Disconnect hose assemblies (10).

  10. Remove the bolt and clip (11).

  11. Remove the bolt and clip (13).

  12. Remove bolts (14) and bracket assembly (12).

  13. Position the hose assemblies and the cable assembly out of the way.

  14. Cut cable straps (16) and position harness assembly (15) out of the way.

  15. Disconnect harness assembly (17) and harness assembly (18) (not shown).

  16. Cut cable strap (21).

  17. Disconnect harness assembly (19) and harness assembly (20). Position harness assembly (19) and harness assembly (20) out of the way.

  18. Disconnect harness assembly (22).

  19. Attach a suitable lifting device to piston pump (steering) (24). The weight of piston pump (steering) (24) is approximately 78 kg (172 lb).

  20. Remove bolts (23) and piston pump (steering) (24).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install piston pump (steering) (24) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (23) to a torque of 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft).
