  1. Disconnect harness assembly (1).

  2. Remove bolts (2).

  4. Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), Tooling (C), and a suitable lifting device to winch (4). The weight of winch (4) is approximately 1252 kg (2760 lb).

  5. Remove nuts (5).

  6. Use Tooling (A), Tooling (B), Tooling (C), and a suitable lifting device to remove winch (4) and the adapter assembly.

  7. Position winch (4) and the adapter assembly on suitable cribbing.

  8. Remove O-ring seals (6).

  9. Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to adapter assembly (7). The weight of adapter assembly (7) is approximately 82 kg (181 lb).

  10. Remove nuts (8) and bolts (9). Remove adapter assembly (7) from winch (4). Repeat for the other side.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install winch (4) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft).

    2. Tighten nuts (8) to a torque of 1300 ± 150 N·m (956 ± 111 lb ft).

    3. Apply Tooling (E) to the shaft for winch (4).

    4. Tighten nuts (5) to a torque of 400 ± 60 N·m (296 ± 45 lb ft).
