Rework Procedure for Joystick Mounting Bracket on Certain MD6250 and MD6310 Rotary Drills {1408, 5059, 5063, 5705}

Description Of Change: Rework procedure for joystick mounting bracket is now used on the products listed above. Reworked joystick mounting brackets have no sharp corners, which provide sufficient clearance to the joystick assembly and eliminates damaging of joystick pigtail.

Adaptable To: The rework procedure for joystick mounting bracket is adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Joystick Mounting Bracket
(A) Grind the sharp corner

  • Grind the weld nut sharp corners on left joystick mounting bracket (1) and right joystick mounting bracket (2), which are projecting out as shown in Illustration 2.

  • Sharp corners are due to orientation of the weld nuts and may not be present on all the brackets.

Note: Sharp corners have been optimized on current production brackets.

Note: Make sure all 4 corners on both left and right mounting brackets are grinded.

Note: This rework is suggested only if the customer has to take out the joystick for other reason.
