Relocating the Air Filter Assembly on C4.4 Engines{1051, 1054} Caterpillar

Relocating the Air Filter Assembly on C4.4 Engines{1051, 1054}

Usage:

C4.4 N4D
Engine:
C4.4 (S/N: N4D1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The whole air filter assembly must be removed on certain C4.4 engines just in order to remove the air filter. This issue is happening on C4.4 engines that are enclosed.

Solution

The air filter assembly must be moved so the air filter can be removed without removing the whole assembly. A new air hose is also available to deal with the relocation of the air filter assembly.
