When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

  1. Install Tooling (A) and support Tooling (A) with a suitable lifting device. Use Tooling (A) to install bearings (30).

  2. Use Tooling (C) to install lip seals (29).

  3. Use Tooling (B) to install bearings (28).

  4. Install seals (26), (26A), and washers (25). Use two people to install yoke (27) on blade lift arm (12). The weight of yoke (27) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).

  5. Install shims (24A) and washers (24). Use shims (24A) to obtain a maximum end play of 0.254 mm (0.0100 inch). Yoke (27) must rotate freely. Install seal (23).

  6. Install retainer (22) and bolts (21). Tighten bolts (21) to a torque of 100 ± 20 N·m (74 ± 15 lb ft).

  7. Attach a suitable lifting device to blade lift arm (12). The weight of blade lift arm (12) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb). Use the suitable lifting device to position blade lift arm (12).

  8. Position four thrust washers (16) (not shown).

    Note: The gap between blade lift arm (12) and the frame should not be over 1.00 mm (0.039 inch).

  9. Install pin (19).

  10. Install lock (18) and bolts (17).

  11. Install bolt (20). Tighten bolt (20) to a torque of 115 ± 10 N·m (85 ± 7 lb ft).

  12. Install pin (14) into blade lift arm (12).

  13. Install lock (15) and bolts (13).

    Note: Use thrust washers (16) (not shown) to obtain a clearance of 3.70 mm (0.150 inch) between the centershift lock bar and the plate.

  14. Attach a suitable lifting device to centershift cylinder (8).

  15. Use the machine to position centershift cylinder (8).

  16. Install cap (10) and bolts (9).

  17. Attach a suitable lifting device to blade lift cylinder (4). The weight of blade lift cylinder (4) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).

  18. Use the suitable lifting device to position blade lift cylinder (4) onto front frame assembly (6).

  19. Install caps (7) and bolts (5).

  20. Install plate (3).

  21. Position cover (1) onto the machine.

  22. Install bolts (2). Repeat for the opposite side of the machine.

End By:

  1. Install the blade accumulator (Blade Cushion).
