Stopping the Engine if an Electrical Malfunction Occurs

Usage:

973 MKL
Perform the following procedure.

  1. Apply the parking brake.

  2. Lower all attachments to the ground.

  3. Open the access door to the fuse panel below the right console inside the cab.

    Red border around the fuse for engine control

  4. Remove the fuse for engine control (engine start key) to stop the engine, as shown.

    Note: Do not operate the machine again until the malfunction has been corrected.

  5. Once the malfunction has been corrected, install the fuse back for engine control (engine start key) and close the access door.

Engine Start Key - Remove the fuse in order to stop the engine. Install the fuse in order to allow the engine to be started.
