New Piston Oil Cooling Jet Assembly Used {1331}

Usage:

3500 Family Of Engines

Description of Change: A new piston oil cooling jet assembly is used in 3500 Family Of Engines. The former oil cooling jet was made of cast iron and could crack if it was tightened too much. The new oil cooling jet assembly is made of stronger ductile iron. It will provide increased service life.

Adaptable As: The new 1W8598 Oil Cooling Jet Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 1N4755 Oil Cooling Jet Assembly in 3508 and 3512 Engines. The new jet is in effect with 3508 and 3512 Engines as shown in the chart. The new jet has been used on all 3516 Engines since first production. The former oil cooling jets should not be reused once they are removed from an engine. The former oil cooling jets should be replaced with new 1W8598 Oil Cooling Jet Assemblies when the engine is overhauled. A new 1W8598 Oil Cooling Jet Assembly can be identified by number 1W8542 cast into the ductile iron tube.
