Cooling Jets Removed And Different Oil Pump Used{1000,1201,1214,1304}

Usage:

D3B Custom 75 Tractors And 931B Custom 75 Loaders;
943 Loaders;
3204 NA Industrial Engines

Reference: "New Piston Used" in this issue.

Description of Change: New engine arrangements are now used in the above models. The piston cooling jets (orifices) have been removed to reduce oil consumption. This requires less oil flow and thus a lower capacity oil pump is used. (Cooling jets were never used in the standard D3B Tractors and 931B Loaders.)

These new engine arrangements also use the new pistons announced in the Reference article. The rings did not change.

Adaptable To: The new engine arrangements can be used as direct replacements for the former engines. See Chart A.

The new engine arrangements are effective as listed in Chart B. The master vehicle identification data plate in the operator's compartment also lists the new engine arrangements.

The new and former part numbers used in the new and former engine arrangements are listed in Chart C. Earlier engines can be modified by replacing the jets (orifices) with the plugs, and installing the new pistons and the new pump rotor assembly.
