New Torque Specification For Disconnect Switches {1411}

Usage:

All Machines, Except D3 Tractors, 910 and 931 Loaders, and Backhoe Loader Family

A lower torque value is now used for the brass nut that retains the ring terminals on the disconnect switch. Reports indicate possible stripping of the brass stud when using the former torques. It is recommended that a torque of 8 ± 2 N·m (6 ± 2 lb in) be used for the brass nut. A note of this change should be made in your Service Manuals.
