Usage:
3208 Truck Engines ( 40S ) Installed in Ford Trucks
Description of Change: Ford Motor Co. has improved the mounting base for air compressors used with 3208 Truck Engines in Ford trucks. A new base plate and mounting bracket, with a new gasket for each, are used to prevent oil leakage. Formerly, oil leakage and failures of the compressor base were possible. The result of these problems can be an engine failure.
Adaptable To: All Ford trucks equipped with a 3208 Truck Engine and a BW400 or BW501 Compressor.
Location and installation of new parts.
INSTALLATION: Use the Illustration to install the new parts and make a small modification to the front support bracket.
