Add Chamfer To Cartridge Assembly Bearings To Prevent Oil Leakage{1052,1053}

Usage:

3304 Industrial and Marine Engines;
3306 Industrial, Marine and Truck Engines;
D6C, D6D, D7G, 814, 627B, 627B Push-Pull Tractors;
815 and 816 Compactors;
950, 955K, 955L, 966C, 977K, 977L and 980B Loaders;
518 and 528 Skidders;
14G, 120G, 130G, 140G Motor Graders;
571G and 572G Pipelayers;
225 (76U) and 235 Excavators;
627B, 637D, 627B and 637D Push-Pull Scrapers Equipped with Schwitzer 3LM Turbochargers

There have been reports of oil leakage at the oil seal on the turbine end of Schwitzer 3LM Turbochargers. If any of the above models have this type of leakage, check the 6N1533 Bearings of the cartridge assembly.

These bearings must have a small chamfer on each end. If there are no chamfers, the result can be oil leakage. A modification can be made to any 6N1533 Bearing as shown in the Illustration. This same modification can also be made to parts stock 6N1533 Bearings.

Modification of 6N1533 Bearing.
