Description of Change: Crankshafts which do not have the lubrication passages connected to the lightening holes are now used in the above engines. Formerly, in crankshafts with the lubrication passages and lightening holes connected, it was possible for the core plugs in the lightening holes to loosen and/or be pushed out of the bores if the plugs were not installed correctly. The result is a loss of pressure oil.
