(A) Distance between end of magnetic pickup and ring gear ... 0.69 ± 0.14 mm (0.027 ± 0.006 inch)

To set the distance between the magnetic pickup and the ring gear with the engine stopped, use the following procedure:

1. Turn the magnetic pickup until the magnet is against the ring gear tooth.

   1. To ensure that the magnetic pickup is against a tooth on the ring gear, look through the opening that is in the flywheel housing.

2. Back out the magnetic pickup by 180 ± 36 degrees. Tighten locknut (1) .

   Torque for the locknut ... 25 ± 5 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)
