Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install
- Remove panel (1) and repeat for the opposite side. Open the engine compartment doors.

- Loosen clamp (1) and remove clamp assembly (5) and (6).
- Remove tube assembly (3).

- Remove eight bolts (15). Remove washers (13) and springs (14).
Note: Ensure that all stud bolts, bolts, washers, and springs have been fully removed from the valve mechanism cover prior to the removal of the cover.
- Remove valve mechanism cover (16).

- Install the valve mechanism (16) cover in the reverse order.
- Tighten bolts (15) and stud bolts (12) in the above sequence.
- Tighten clamp on breather assembly (9) to a torque of
4.5 ± 0.5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb in) .
