The Fuel Lines Group Has been Updated For The Fast Fill Option On Certain 627H and 627K Wheel Tractor-Scrapers {1274}

627H (S/N: LCT1-UP; DBW1-UP)
627K (S/N: WTC1-UP; WTN1-UP)

Description of Change: The 328-6422 Fuel Lines Gp has been updated on the machines listed above. The new fuel line group utilizes a new tube, grommets, and clips to route the fast fill along the outside of the bowl.

Adaptable To: The updated fuel line group is adaptable to the following machines:

  • 627H (S/N: LCT1-UP; DBW1-UP)

  • 627K (S/N: WTC1-169; WTN1-103)

The updated fuel line group is effective with the following machines:

  • 627K (S/N: WTC170-UP; WTN104-UP)

  1. Park on a level surface. If you must park on a grade, chock the machine.

  1. Apply the service brake in order to stop the machine. Move the transmission control lever to the NEUTRAL position.

  1. Engage the parking brake.

  1. Lower all attachments to the ground.

  1. Turn the engine start switch to OFF position and remove the key.

  1. Turn battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  1. Drain the fuel tank.

  1. Remove existing fast fill fuel lines.

  1. Fabricate plate (1) as shown in Illustration 2 and Illustration 3 using 5 mm (0.20 inch) structural steel. The plate should be ASTM-A572-Grade 42 and 50 or AS3678-Grade 350.

  1. Weld plate (1) to the side of the bowl using dimensions shown in Illustration 5 with a 6 mm (0.24 inch) fillet weld on both sides of the plate.

  1. Weld two bosses (2) to the side of the bowl using dimensions shown in Illustration 7 with 5 mm (0.20 inch) fillet weld.

  1. Touch up where needed using paint (3) .

  1. Attach dust cap (6) and fast fill fuel adapter (5) to tube assembly (4) .

  1. Install tube assembly (4) onto the fuel tank using hose (8) and four hose clamps (7) .

  1. Secure tube assembly (4) to bosses (2) with two bolts (12), two washers (13), two clips (9), two clips (10) and two grommets (11) .
