Removal Procedure

- Open the hood.
- Cut cable straps (1) from harness assembly (2) .
Note: Ensure that all cable straps are removed from the harness assemblies.

- Slide locking tab (4) into the unlocked position. Disconnect harness assembly (3) .
- Use Tooling (A) in order to remove flame detection temperature sensor (5).

- If necessary, remove temperature sensor (DPF) for the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
Installation Procedure
- Install flame detection temperature sensor (5) in the reverse order of removal.
- Use Tooling (B) in order to lubricate the threads of flame detection temperature sensor (5) .
- Use Tooling (A) in order to tighten flame detection temperature sensor (5) to a torque of 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
