Installation Procedure

1. Install the O-ring seals on the aftercooler core tubes. Apply clean engine oil on the O-ring seals.

   Note: Inspect the seal around the aftercooler core.

2. Install Tooling (B). Place Tooling (B) on each end of the top row of bolts for the aftercooler.

3. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (6). The weight of aftercooler (6) is approximately 240 kg (530 lb). Carefully position aftercooler (6) on Tooling (B). Install bolts (7). Remove Tooling (B) and install remaining bolts (7).

4. Install new O-ring seals (5) on adapters (4). Apply clean engine oil to O-ring seals (5). Install adapters (4) in aftercooler (6).

5. Install new O-ring seals on tube assemblies (1). Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals. Install tube assemblies (1), adapters (3), and bolts (2).

6. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

1. Install the air inlet shutoff. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Inlet Shutoff - Remove and Install".
