Fuel Tank Breather - Replace

Usage:

613G DBE


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

The fuel tank breather is located on the rear of the machine.

  1. Park the machine on a level surface. Engage the parking brake.

  1. Lower the bowl to the ground. Shut off the engine.

  1. Remove the bolts on the fuel tank breather guard. Remove the fuel tank breather guard (1) .

  1. Turn the fuel tank breather (2) counterclockwise in order to remove the breather. Replace the fuel tank breather.

  1. Replace the fuel tank breather guard (1) .
