Intake Manifold Air Pressure Is Low

- Air inlet restrictions
- Leaks between the turbocharger compressor and the intake manifold
- Improper fuel flow to the engine
Check for restrictions in the air inlet system. Refer to the Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting manual for information on inspecting the air inlet system.
Leaks Between the Turbocharger Compressor and the Intake Manifold
Look for the following problems in the lines between the turbocharger compressor and the intake manifold:
- Damaged hoses
- Loose clamps
- Cracked fittings
Repair any problems. Replace parts, if necessary.
Incorrect fuel flow to the engine can cause low boost. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Fuel System Pressure - Test" in order to properly test the fuel system.
