A Stiffener Plate is Now Used to Strengthen the Dash Panel {7451}

Usage:

AD55 ANW
Underground Articulated Truck:
AD30 (S/N: CXR1-UP)
AD55 (S/N: ANW1-UP; DNW1-UP)

Description of Change: A stiffener plate is now used to strengthen the dash panel. The addition of the plate will improve the durability of the dash panel. The plate is located behind the parking brake switch.

Adaptable To: The 6EL6430 Plate is effective with (S/N: CXR128-UP) and (S/N: DNW526-UP). The 6EL6430 Plate is adaptable to (S/N: CXR1-127), (S/N: ANW1-UP) and (S/N: DNW1-525).

( 1 ) Part is only required if the dash panel is not equipped with a wiper switch. Refer to Illustration 1.
Procedure:

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  1. Remove dash panel (1) to gain access to the rear of the dash panel.

    Note: If dash panel (1) is not equipped with a wiper switch use the screw, washer and nut listed in Table 1 to secure 6EL6430 Plate (4) .

  1. Install 6EL6430 Plate (4) to dash panel (1) between parking brake switch (3) and wiper switch (2) .

  1. Install dash panel (1) removed in Step 2.
