Introduction
This section discusses the "Setup Menu" dialogs. Use these dialogs in order to access the AccuGrade System setup items.
Note: The contents of the "Setup Menu" dialog are site configurable. Depending on the Operator Configuration settings of your system and machine settings, the number of items in the "Setup Menu" may vary.

Blade Wear     | Blade wear information is entered into the AccuGrade System so that the AccuGrade GPS can adjust for the wear of the cutting edge. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Blade Wear - Set" for addition information.     | |
Diagnostics     | The software for the AccuGrade System displays diagnostic information about the devices the software detects and also the GPS Receiver. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Diagnostics - View" for additional information.     | |
GPS Accuracy Mode (1)     | GPS Accuracy mode is used in order to set the maximum GPS error estimate that is acceptable for your application.     | |
Light Bar Scales     | The Light Bar Scales dialogs set the vertical and horizontal tolerances that apply to the LEDs on the Light Bars. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Light Bar Scale - Set" for additional information.     | |
Restore Settings     | Use the Restore Settings dialog in order to restore previously saved Display settings or machine settings.     | |
Valve Speed     | The Valve Speed dialog allows you to change the speed of the valves that automatically control the blade. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Valve Speed - Set" for additional information.     | |
Vertical Guidance (1)     | The vertical guidance of the blade tips is calculated in two different ways. The vertical guidance can determine the cut or fill of the blade from a single vertical guidance point, or the vertical guidance can be determined from dual vertical guidance points. From the vertical guidance point or points, a vertical guidance plane is calculated and projected to the blade tips to calculate cut and fill values.     |

Avoidance Zone     | The Avoidance Zone dialog allows you to configure the distance from an avoidance zone when you need to be warned. This varies for different applications. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Avoidance Zone - Set" for additional information.     | |
Beeper     | The beeper can be configured in order to provide an audible signal when various events occur. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Beeper - Set" for additional information.     | |
Display and Light Bar Brightness     | The Display and Light Bar Brightness dialog sets the brightness of the Display and Light Bars. By default the dialog is only available in the "Setup Menu – Configuration". Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Brightness (Display and Light Bar) - Set" for additional information.     | |
Map Recording     | The main purpose of map recording is to display, on the Plan View, position and attribute information. Terrain logging files (.st) are also recorded when using certain map recording types. Terrain logging files are used in the SiteVision Office version 5.5 software or Caterpillar METSmanager software. Plan View Rotation     | You can set the Plan View to rotate so that the machine is always heading up the Display, or the Plan View is always drawn north-up. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Plan View - Set" for additional information.     | |

Vertical Offset Increment     | The Vertical Offset Switch Increment dialog allows you to set the amount that each press of the vertical offset switch increases or decreases the vertical offset. To access the "Setup Menu" dialog complete the following steps:
- Press the "Menu" key until the "Setup Menu" soft key is displayed.
- Press the "Setup Menu" soft key. Refer to Illustration 1.

Note: Changes made to the Setup Menu options take effect as soon as you exit the "Setup Menu" dialog.
Working with the Setup Menu
Press the Down Arrow or the Up Arrow in order to scroll through the available options. Press the "OK" key in order to select the appropriate item.
Within any of the "Setup Menu – Configuration" options, the following steps apply:
- Press the "OK" key in order to save any setup changes.
- Press the "Esc" key in order to close the dialog without changing any setup options. A warning appears.
- Press the "OK" key in order to confirm that you want to abandon your changes.
- Press the "Esc" key in order to return to the dialog.
After changing the required options, you can change any of the other items listed in the "Setup Menu – Configuration" dialog before you exit.
When all of your changes are made to the items in the "Setup Menu – Configuration" dialog, press the "Esc" key in order to exit. The changes take effect immediately.
The remaining sections of this manual discuss the options that may be available in the "Setup Menu – Configuration" dialogs.
