V-Belts - Remove and Install

Usage:

C1.5 NCA

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Loosen bolts (1), (2), and (4) .

  1. Push alternator (3) toward the engine and remove V-belt (5) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Check the condition of V-belt (5). If the V-belt is worn or damaged, use a new V-belt for replacement.

  1. Position V-belt (5) on the engine.

  1. Slide alternator (3) away from the engine. Tighten bolts (1), (2), and (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 26 N·m (19 lb ft). Ensure that the tension on the V-belt is correct. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Belt Tension Chart".
