Illustration 1g01202213

The battery disconnect switch is located in the battery compartment at the front of the enclosure.

OFF - In order to deactivate the electrical system, turn the key counterclockwise.

ON - In order to activate the electrical system, insert the key and turn the switch in a clockwise direction. The switch must be in the ON position in order to start the engine.

The functions of the battery disconnect switch and the engine start switch are different. When the battery disconnect switch is turned to the OFF position, the entire electrical system is disabled. When the engine start switch is turned to the OFF position, the battery remains connected to the electrical system.

Remove the key for the disconnect switch when the generator set is out of operation for an extended period of time. Also, remove the key for the disconnect switch when you service the electrical system.

NOTICE

Never move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position while the engine is operating. Serious damage to the electrical system could result.
