Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Use a suitable allen wrench and the flats of spool (48) in order to install orifice (57) . Tighten orifice (57) to a torque of 2.5 ± 0.5 N·m (22.13 ± 4.43 lb in).

  1. Repeat this procedure for the remaining cartridge assemblies.

  1. Install spool (48) .

  1. Install O-ring seals (56) .

    Note: Use the flats of cage (41) to install stop (55) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (54) .

  1. Install spring (53) and stop (55) . Tighten stop (55) to a torque of 6 ± 1 N·m (53 ± 9 lb in).

  1. Install spring (50) on spool (48) . Compress spring (50) and install ball (52) and retainers (49) .

  1. Install O-ring seals (46) and (47) .

  1. Install spring (45) and plunger (43) on adapter (40) .

  1. Install retainer (44) and snap ring (42) .

  1. Connect adapter (40) to cage (41) . Tighten adapter (40) to a torque of 15 ± 2 N·m (11 ± 1 lb ft).

  1. Install screen assembly (39) . Install O-ring seal (38) on seal connector (36) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (37) on plug (35) . Repeat for the remaining 44 plugs.

  1. Install seal connector (36) and the cap assembly. Tighten seal connector (36) to a torque of 28 ± 4 N·m (21 ± 3 lb ft).

  1. Install plugs (35) . Tighten plugs (35) to a torque of 12 ± 3 N·m (105 ± 27 lb in). Repeat for the remaining 44 plugs.

    Note: There are 45 O-ring seals on plugs (35) in the three valve bodies.

  1. Install cartridge assembly (34) .

  1. Install adapters (33) and the O-ring seals.

  1. Connect the valve bodies. Install hex bolts (32) and the nuts. Tighten hex bolts (32) to a torque of 12 ± 3 N·m (105 ± 27 lb in).

  1. Install O-ring seals (29) on adapters (30) and (31) .

  1. Install the three valve bodies on plate (27) .

  1. Install adapter (26) and plates (25) .

  1. Install the spring and screen assembly (22) . Install O-ring seal (21) .

  1. Connect the valve assembly and install bolts (20) .

  1. Install adapter (19) . Tighten adapters (19) to a torque of 45 ± 4 N·m (33 ± 3 lb ft).

  1. Install bracket (18) , bolts (16) , and bolts (17) . Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 12 ± 3 N·m (105 ± 27 lb in). Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolt (17) . Tighten bolt (17) to a torque of 28 ± 4 N·m (21 ± 3 lb ft).

  1. Install spacer (11) and swivel (15) . Install washer (15) , spring (14) , nut (13) , and pin (12) . Repeat for the opposite side of plate (9) .

  1. Use Dimension (C) as a reference. Dimension (C) equal 12.15 ± 0.06 mm (0.478 ± 0.002 inch).

  1. Apply Tooling (A) to all the threads.

  1. Tighten nut (13) to a torque of 12 ± 3 N·m (105 ± 27 lb in).

  1. Tighten plate (9) to a torque of 90 ± 10 N·m (66 ± 7 lb ft).

  1. Install lever assemblies (8) . Install clips (6) and pins (7) .

  1. Install boots (5) and rod (4) . Tighten nuts (3) .

  1. Install knob assembly (2) and screw (1) on the rod.

End By: Install the pilot operated hydraulic control. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pilot Operated Hydraulic Control - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
