- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Illustration 1 g01063923 - Remove bolts (1). Remove bypass elbow (3). Remove the O-ring seal from the bypass elbow. Remove gasket (2) from the cover assembly.
- Disconnect hose assembly (7) from oil cooler bonnet (11).
- Remove bolts (9). Remove oil cooler bonnet (11) from the water pump. Remove integral seal (8) and the O-ring seal from the oil cooler bonnet.
- Remove bolts (10). Remove water pump cover (6) from adapter (12).
- Remove bolts (5).
- Remove water pump (4) from the front housing.
